Important: Mental starts at 65 points

Realistic Criteria

  • Break Point

    • +2 pts per Break point saved

    • -2 pts per Break point lost

  • Tiebreaks won/lost ⇒ -9 to +9 pts

    • +3 pts per tie break won

    • -3 pts per tie break lost

  • Match points saved/lost ⇒ unlimited points

    • +4 pts per match point saved

    • -4 pts per match point lost

  • Set points saved/lost ⇒ unlimited points

    • +1 pt per set point saved

    • -1 pt per set point lost

  • Won the match ⇒ -5 or +5pts

    • +5 pts if won the match

    • - 5 if lost the match

Arcade Criteria: -22 to +23 points

  • +3 pts per round won

  • Comeback: +10 pts

    • Lost the first set but won the match.

  • Choke: -10 pts

    • Won the first set but lost the match.

  • Bonus points for comebacks in sets:

    • +2 pts if trailing by 1 game

    • + 8 pts if trailing by 2 games

    • + 12 pts if trailing by 3 games

    • + 16 pts if trailing by 4 games

    • + 20 pts if trailing by 5 games

  • Penalties for losing sets after leading:

    • - 2 pts if leading by 1 game

    • - 4 pts if leading by 2 game

    • - 6 pts if leading by 3 game

    • - 8 pts if leading by 4 game

    • -12 pts if leading by 5 game

Example :

Initial score 
65 pts

Break point saved / lost
1 break point saved → 1 x 2 pts = +2 pts

Comeback : 
Lost the first set but won the match => +10 pts

tiebreak won / lost
1 tiebreak won → 1 x 3 pts = +3 pts
1 tiebreak lost → 1 x (-3) pts = -3 pts

match points saved / lost :
2 match points saved → 2 x 4 pts = +8 pts
1 match point lost → 1 x (-4) pts = -4 pts

Balles de set sauvées / perdues :
1 balle de set sauvée → 1 x 1 pt = +1 pt
1 balle de set perdue → 1 x (-1) pt = -1 pt


Set won after trailing by multiple games:
1 set won after trailing by 1 game = +2 pts

Set lost after leading by multiple games:
2 sets lost after leading by 3 games = -6 pts

Match result
Match won → +5 pts

Total = 65 + 2 + 10 + 3 - 3 + 8 - 5 + 1 - 1 + 2 - 6  = 76
MENTAL SCORE = 76
