In Fungiball, each player card can progress by gaining experience in two distinct ways:
Participation in a Gameweek: During weekly competitions, cards earn XP based on their player's performance.
The Academy: By sending your cards to train at the , you enable them to improve even outside competitions, boosting their XP level.
Cards can accumulate XP points in three ways:
Through Participation in a Gameweek (GW): During a , cards used in earn 50 XP points. If the cards participate in a Mega Gameweek (a 2-week GW), they earn 100 XP points.
Through the Academy: allows you to train your cards at any time. By sending your cards to the Academy, they accumulate XP points even if they are not actively participating in a Gameweek. This method ensures your cards evolve consistently and steadily, preventing them from becoming "useless" or "valueless."
Through Card Fusion: This process increases a card's XP points while boosting its overall power. When a card is fused with another, it gains additional XP points added to its total.

With each Gameweek, Academy training session, or fusion, the XP points earned are added to the total points already accumulated by the card. The card's level and associated bonuses are determined by the total accumulated XP points.
Once a card reaches level 20, the bonus remains capped at 10%, even as the card continues to accumulate XP.

In Fungiball, the XP of your cards plays a crucial role in improving your performance and refining your strategy. However, certain actions involve a partial loss of XP to maintain game balance:
These mechanics make every decision more strategic, whether you're choosing to trade, sell, or fuse your cards. It's up to you to find the right balance between individual progression and market opportunities!
Selling a Card: When you decide to sell a card on the , 50% of its XP is removed. This ensures a balanced market where every transaction requires strategic consideration.
Card Fusion: allows you to combine two cards to create a more powerful one. However, 25% of the XP from each card being fused is not transferred to the newly generated card, adding a strategic challenge when choosing which cards to fuse.
